1983
East Wellington Community Services (EWCS) was established at All Saints Anglican Church.
June 1984
EWCS became fully incorporated as a charitable organization and hired its first staff members.
July 1984
The first Info Erin Directory was published and distributed to all homes in Erin/Hillsburgh, free of charge.
1985
EWCS began offering income tax clinics to the community. Additionally, the first bookstore, Bookends, opened its doors, generating $1,266.45 in the first 6 months.
June 1986
EWCS relocated from All Saints Anglican Church to 105 Main St.
January 1987
The senior’s drop-in program commenced.
February 1987
Names were gathered for the volunteer driver transportation program.
November 1987
Burns Presbyterian Church became home to the Seniors Day Program.
December 1987
The organization changed its name from Erin-Wellington Advisory Group for Family Services to East Wellington Advisory Group for Family Services.
September 1987
Home services for seniors were initiated.
1988
New to You and Bookends operated from a trailer beside the "little green shed."
1989
EWCS moved to its current location, now Jody Pendry Massage Therapist, with the food bank in the basement and office space in the converted garage
1991
New to You opened in Hillsburgh.
1996-97
The toy library was replaced by EWCS at 45 Main St.
1998
Senior services 109 Club was established.
2001
The Rockwood clothing store and office opened.
2009
The organization rebranded to East Wellington Community Services to better reflect its vision and mission.
2010
The Food Bank relocated to Centre 2000.
2019
Main Place Youth Centre opened
